leaving a legacy

A legacy of hope … for today, tomorrow and eternity

HIV and AIDS has been described as the greatest public health disaster in recorded history. More than 40 million people worldwide are living with HIV. By the end of this decade the figure will have more than doubled to 87 million people.

We know there are no quick fixes. Long-term grassroots work like educating people about HIV and AIDS and bringing about behaviour change are crucial to reduce the spread of this devastating disease.

Our partners are working to meet the short-term physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people and communities affected by HIV and AIDS, as well as education and prevention programmes to bring about long-term change.

Leave a gift in your will to iThemba AIDS Foundation and it will not only help bring hope to people living with HIV and AIDS but will also make a difference for generations to come. Through the work of iThemba’s partners, many people also discover more about the Christian faith – bringing them a promise of hope for today, tomorrow and eternity.

100% action guarantee: every penny of your legacy will go directly to our partner projects in sub-Saharan Africa.

Here are some examples of how your legacy can help people living in poverty:

£500 or $910 buys nursing supplies for a home-based care team in South Africa for one year.

£1,500 or $2,700 enables the production of 1,000 sets of devotional material for teenagers affected by HIV and AIDS in South Africa.

£5,000 or $9,100 will pay the salary of a full-time youth worker in a South African community school for one year.

£7,000 or $12,700 pays for teams of Burundian pastors in Tanzanian refugee camps to be mobilised and trained to care for the hundreds and sometimes thousands of orphans in their communities.
