Our values

E3 Initiative's values are rooted in Ephesians 3 and are centred on verse 10 of that chapter: "His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known..."

A gospel to entrust

We have been entrusted with good news: Christ died to reconcile people to God and one another and is coming to heal a broken world. We work with those who entrust this message to grassroots pastors, so that churches and communities will be truly transformed.

A church to empower

We are inspired by Ephesians 3:10 and are convinced that local churches lie at the heart of God's purposes. All our efforts are driven by this, which means working alongside those who build healthy churches and empower them to be salt and light in their communities. 

A world to engage

God calls churches to proclaim his love and justice to the world, which is why we are committed to empowering them to engage with their local communities. We believe this mission requires training as well as deliberate action so that churches serve the poor and marginalised in the name of Christ.


Our values will only truly transform our lives and practice as we call on God's name. In the word 'engage' we hear a call to connect with him in the sort of prayer that provides the context and conclusion of Ephesians 3:

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen."
